The NLFL holds its annual convention in the fall.  These conventions alternate annually between a policy convention and our constitution convention.  These conventions are vitally important to the work of the Federation.  Constitutional conventions allow for our affiliates to submit resolutions and debate those issues which are important to working women and men, their families and communities with the objective of making Newfoundland and Labrador a better place to work and live.  Our policy conventions allow the Federation to inform, educate and discuss with our members key public policy issues of importance to workers, such as workers compensation, occupational health and safety labour market development and regional development to name a few.  Overall, our conventions help set the direction and agenda for the work that the federation does on behalf of its members all working people in Newfoundland and Labrador.
